Adult ADHD Assessment — UK clients 18+
Last updated: 11 September 2025

1. Who we are

Provider: Dr Michaela Dunbar, Clinical Psychologist (HCPC Reg: PYL34044)
Trading name: My Easy Therapy Ltd
Contact: [email protected]

2. What this service is

Private adult ADHD assessment for UK-based clients aged 18+. Delivered online via Zoom only. Conducted in line with NICE guideline NG87.

What is included

- A thorough clinical interview using DIVA-5 or ACE, developmental and psychosocial history, and a brief mental state check.

- Validated adjunct measures and HSP self-assessment.

- Autism screening with a brief, validated self-report questionnaire to indicate whether a formal autism assessment should be considered. Screening is not a diagnosis.

- Your Neuro Sensitivity Profile (NSP). This is a structured summary of how attention and executive skills, anxiety patterns, high sensitivity and sensory triggers interact for you, and what that means at work and at home.

- A written clinical report with a clear decision on ADHD (meets or does not meet criteria), a formulation, and a tailored 3-month plan.

- Where appropriate, a GP letter and signposting.

- A 3-month email check-in to review progress and fine-tune your plan.

- Bonus: Access to Work application support. Brief guidance and an evidence pack that maps tasks to barriers and recommended adjustments, includes illustrative costs, and provides a short employer note template. See Section 13.

Exclusions
This service is not crisis or emergency care, medication prescribing, or long-term therapy. We cannot guarantee NHS shared-care or workplace adjustments. This is not a formal autism diagnostic assessment; if screening suggests it may help, we will signpost onward options.

3. Who this is suitable for

UK adults 18+ who can attend an assessment and complete pre-appointment forms. Not suitable right now if you have current high-risk concerns, untreated psychosis, or unmanaged substance dependence. For urgent support contact your GP, NHS 111, or 999.

4. Price, deposit, and payment terms

4.1 Introductory offer

£1,497 for this cohort. Our standard fee is scheduled to increase to £5,000 for future cohorts. Updated pricing will be shown on the checkout page when in effect.
Deposit at booking: £500 to secure your slot.
Balance: £997 due 3 days (72 hours) before your appointment.
Payments are processed via Stripe. A receipt will be emailed to you.

4.2 Balance deadline and non-payment

The balance of £997 is due 3 days (72 hours) before your appointment. If the balance is not received by the deadline, we will email you once to update your payment details. If payment is still not received within 24 hours of that email, your appointment will be cancelled for non-payment and treated as a cancellation under Section 9.5. The £500 deposit is non-refundable in these circumstances and an additional reasonable admin fee may apply for diary, processing and scheduling time.

5. Performance timeline and deliverables

Assessment duration is approximately 2-3 hrs. Your plain-English report, Neuro Sensitivity Profile, and tailored 3-month plan are delivered within 5 to 7 working days after your appointment. If we need further information such as collateral, timelines may adjust reasonably. Your report will also include a summary of autism screening results with recommendations or signposting where relevant.

6. Your responsibilities

Complete the Intake Pack within 48 hours of booking. Bring photo ID. For Zoom, ensure a quiet, private space and a stable connection. By completing the questionnaires (including ADHD measures, mood and anxiety screens, HSP self-assessment, and autism screening), you help us tailor the interview and produce an accurate NSP and report.

7. Lateness, reschedules, and no-shows

If you are late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but the session may still finish at the scheduled time. Reschedules and cancellations are handled under Section 9. A missed appointment may be treated as a late cancellation.

8. Medication and the NHS

We provide a clinical report and, where appropriate, a GP letter. Any decision on medication or shared-care is at your GP’s or a psychiatrist’s discretion. This cannot be guaranteed. You may remain on any NHS waiting list.

9. Cancellation and refund policy, including cooling-off rights

9.1 Your 14-day cooling-off period

If you book online or by email or phone, you have 14 days from the day after you enter this contract to cancel without giving a reason.

9.2 Starting services during the cooling-off period

If you ask us to start during the cooling-off period (for example by submitting forms so we begin triage or review, or by attending the assessment), you agree that:
a) you will pay a proportionate amount for work performed up to cancellation, and
b) if the service is fully performed within the 14 days, you lose the right to cancel.

9.3 How to cancel within the cooling-off period

Email [email protected] with a clear statement that you wish to cancel, or use the Model Cancellation Form in Section 9.7. We will confirm by email.

9.4 Refunds within the cooling-off period

If you cancel after asking us to start, we deduct the lower of:
• our proportionate time already spent at £250 per hour (triage, admin, review, assessment), or
• the £500 deposit.
We refund any remainder within 14 days of your notice.
If you cancel before any work has started, we refund all amounts paid, including the deposit.

9.5 Cancellations and reschedules outside the cooling-off period

Reschedule 72 hours or more before: permitted; a reasonable admin fee may apply to cover processing and scheduling.

Reschedule less than 72 hours before: deposit may be forfeited and a reasonable admin fee may apply.

Cancel 72 hours or more before: the £500 deposit is non-refundable; any balance already paid is refunded minus any reasonable admin fee.

Cancel less than 72 hours before or no-show: the £500 deposit is non-refundable and up to a reasonable proportion of the balance may be charged to reflect costs incurred.

Non-payment: if the balance is not received by the deadline, your appointment may be cancelled for non-payment. The £500 deposit is non-refundable and a reasonable admin fee may apply.

9.6 When we may cancel or reschedule

We may reschedule or cancel if we are ill, have an emergency, or there are technical failures. We will offer the next available slot or a refund of amounts paid for services not provided.

About the scheme. Access to Work is a UK government grant that helps you get or stay in work. Grants do not need to be repaid. Awards are needs-based and subject to an annual cap set by DWP, which may change.

Eligibility. Generally available to people in paid work or about to start, including employees and the self-employed, in England, Scotland or Wales. Northern Ireland has a separate scheme.
Responsibilities. You are responsible for submitting your application, attending any workplace needs assessment, providing accurate information, and responding to DWP or employer requests. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we do not submit applications on your behalf.
Costs and timescales. Any example costs we provide are illustrative. We do not purchase equipment or services for you unless agreed separately. DWP decision timescales are outside our control.
